Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Loyd Valentine (ranked 24724 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davin Miguel (ranked 6132 p4p, 0 weight class). Davin Miguel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miguel throws a right and a left that both miss.

Miguel stalks Valentine and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Valentine's face. Valentine staggers backwards, shaken.

Valentine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Valentine lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Loyd Valentine will probably get the nod.

Miguel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valentine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Valentine postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miguel looks a forlorn figure.

Valentine has control of Miguel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Miguel regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Valentine shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Miguel defends it nicely.
