PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sangmanae Sor Tienpoh (ranked 4246 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Franks (ranked 4171 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sor Tienpoh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to rolling in the deep. Sangmanae Sor Tienpoh has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks shoots in and drives through. Sor Tienpoh sprawls well.

Franks drives through with a takedown into guard.
Franks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franks stands up over Sor Tienpoh, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sor Tienpoh is trying to control the position but Franks postures up.

Sor Tienpoh has his foot on Franks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Franks works his way back into a safe position though.
Sor Tienpoh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Franks on the ground.
Franks throws a big right hand that misses.
Sor Tienpoh wants to sweep but no luck.
Sor Tienpoh can't keep his opponent in guard - Franks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Franks is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sor Tienpoh is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
