Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Martinez (ranked 7315 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Chung (ranked 5246 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Chung's choice of entrance music: Deadline. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Chung!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chung swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Martinez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Martinez.
Chung is trying to pull guard but Martinez has him pressed against the cage.
Chung has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Chung is looking to break free of the clinch but Martinez has double underhooks.
Chung throws a punch but it's blocked by Martinez.

Martinez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Martinez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chung wants to sweep but no luck.

Martinez gets to his feet - Chung follows without any prompting.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chung wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Martinez's hips, looking to push off. But Martinez grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Chung screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
