The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glass keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Slapp has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Glass is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Glass seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Glass counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glass lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Glass in particular looking to stall.
Slapp is trying to stand.
Glass is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Glass stands up out of the half guard.

Slapp connects with a body shot that sends Glass's belly button to the back.
Slapp just misses with a punch to the body.
Glass avoids the body shot from Slapp.
Glass closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Houston Glass has been cut.
Slapp ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Slapp connects with a right that clearly hurt Glass. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Slapp proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Glass collapses and taps out under the pressure!
