Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Bogard (ranked 4483 p4p, 78 weight class) and Leonel Ventura (ranked 4862 p4p, 145 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura throws a body punch but Bogard moves out of range.
Bogard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ventura manages to avoid it.
Ventura connects with the punch.
Ventura cracks a nice hook into Bogard's ribs.
Bogard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ventura feints a jab promting Bogard to slip. Ventura then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bogard slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ventura throws a body punch but Bogard moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Ventura.
Ventura connects with a body shot that sends Bogard's belly button to the back.
Ventura lands with a right hand.
Bogard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ventura missing with a left hand there. Bogard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bogard throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ventura.
Ventura throws a body shot but no joy.
Bogard throws a quick counter kick to the body but Ventura avoids it.

Leonel Ventura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bogard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ventura has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bogard swings for the body but Ventura moves out of range.
Ventura let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Ventura is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Bogard throws a sloppy head kick and Ventura moves out of range easily.
Ventura jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ventura ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bogard moves away.
Bogard throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ventura.

It looks like Leonel Ventura has been cut.

A nice side step and Ventura releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Ventura darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bogard.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ventura! But no joy.

Ventura drops Bogard with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bogard looks back up at him and smiles so Ventura waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and Ventura makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oh Bogard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ventura lands with a hook. Bogard tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

A head kick from Bogard lands but Ventura takes it in his stride.

Bogard takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ventura is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bogard had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Bogard throws a sloppy head kick and Ventura moves out of range easily.
Ventura has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Bogard looks to land a left hand but Ventura moved out of range nicely.
Ventura now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ventura connects with a right hand. Bogard shakes it off.

and Ventura scores with a counter punch that sends Bogard to the canvas! Ventura smells blood - he's punishing Bogard with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bogard has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
