The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Pham is just out of range.
We've been told by Pham's head coaches at Fight Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Pham uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones.
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pham moves away.

Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Pham didn't expect that.

Pham knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Pham wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pham wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Jones forces his way into half guard.
Pham on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pham tries to get out of the position.
Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Oh Pham is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pham is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Pham seems to have got his legs back now.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pham is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Jones is keen to just control but Pham is a slippery customer.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pham's head.

A close round but Hank Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Pham crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jones cracks Pham with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Pham looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jones finish him?
Jones scores with a jab to the body.
Pham tries to get into range but Jones steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Pham! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Jones scores the big KO victory!
