The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punyos changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Punyos misses with a takedown attempt - Juarez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck for Juarez with that takedown attempt.
Punyos does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Punyos counters with a crisp one two that drops Juarez! Punyos thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Juarez to his feet! Juarez is in big trouble!

Punyos goes for a double leg but Juarez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Juarez continues to drive forward.
Oh Juarez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Juarez darts in looking for a takedown but Punyos gets double underhooks and turns Juarez into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reginald Juarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Punyos is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Juarez is in big trouble! Punyos is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Juarez. Poor guy.
