The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Junior drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tuffenufe keeping moving, preventing Junior from controlling successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tuffenufe can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tuffenufe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tuffenufe has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Junior has passed into side control.

Junior working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Junior tries for a kimura but Tuffenufe is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tuffenufe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Junior wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Junior trying to control the action but Tuffenufe is working from the bottom.
Tuffenufe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Junior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tuffenufe gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Tuffenufe is trying to stand up here but Junior is controlling him well.
Tuffenufe tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Junior has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Junior swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tuffenufe is now in Junior's guard. A big mistake from Junior there, giving up the dominant position!

Tuffenufe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Tuffenufe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Junior dives on top into guard.

Junior is working for a guillotine from mount but Tuffenufe frees his head quite easily.
