Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamel Moore (ranked 2215 p4p, 310 weight class) and George Baker (ranked 3041 p4p, 403 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Moore might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Guerilla Black feat. Beenie Man - Compton. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jamel Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Baker!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker misses with a double jab
and Moore counters with a three punch combo that has Baker backing up. Baker nods at Moore to acknowledge the strikes.
Moore misses with a hook.
Baker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Baker.


It looks like Jamel Moore has been cut.
Baker is looking to clinch.
Baker tries to close the distance and clinch but Moore swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Moore lands with a shot to the body.
Baker shoots in for a double leg but Moore sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Baker throws out a leg kick but Moore moves out of range and Baker only half commits.
An attempted straight right counter from Moore misses the target.
Baker moves out of range of the strikes.
Despite the aggression on Baker's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jamel Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Moore misses its intended target.

Moore drives through and clinches with Baker against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Moore gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Baker throws a series of strikes that have Moore backpedaling.

Baker shoots in but Moore avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Moore throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Baker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moore.
Moore looks to land a right hand but Baker moved out of range.
Moore throws a hook but Baker blocks it.
Baker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd cheers as Moore lands an impressive looking overhand right. Baker doesn't seem phased though.

Baker is looking to clinch.
Moore connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Baker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Moore clinches.

Moore pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Baker drops his hands momentarily and Moore takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Baker tries to close the distance and clinch but Moore swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Moore was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Baker.
Decent striking displayed by Moore there.
Baker takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Moore stuffs the takedown attempt from Baker. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.
Moore misses with a wild body shot.
Baker slips a jab from Moore.
Moore moves in looking to clinch but Baker pushes him off.
Moore misses with an uppercut.
Baker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Moore.
Baker wants to counter the offense by Moore and move into the clinch position.

Moore lands a left and a right that send Baker crashing to the mat, dazed. Moore thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Baker is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baker shoots for a takedown but Moore saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Moore was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Baker moves away from the strike by Moore.

Moore misses with a body shot.
Moore throws a looping overhand right but Baker ducks down to avoid it.
Baker tries to clinch up.
Moore connects with a body shot that sends Baker's belly button to the back.

Moore forces Baker back against the cage and clinches.

Baker tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Moore counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Baker slips a straight right by Moore.
Moore cracks Baker with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

As Moore backs off Baker throws a huge counter combo but Moore manages to avoid it all.
Moore loads up on a big right hand but Baker slips the punch.
Baker misses with a takedown
and Moore connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Baker is still on wobbly legs! Can Moore finish him?
Baker shoots in for a double leg but Moore sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baker dives in and grabs Moore's left leg, looking for a takedown. Moore pushes down on Baker's head and hops out.
Baker seems to have recovered his senses.

Baker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moore tries to avoid it but Baker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moore to the ground. Moore escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Baker lands a really nice looking cross but Moore seems unphased.
