Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Driver (ranked 299 p4p, 41 weight class) and Sol Kwon (ranked 1521 p4p, 219 weight class). Ed Driver had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon slips a jab from Driver.
Driver displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kwon throws out the jab.
A quick step to the side and Driver tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fight stays on the outside here - Driver looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kwon! But no joy.

Driver definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Driver connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kwon counters with a crisp one two that drops Driver! Kwon thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Driver to his feet! Driver is in big trouble!

Driver lands with a hook. Kwon tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oh Driver is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Kwon counters with a crisp right hand that drops Driver! Kwon lets Driver back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Driver throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kwon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kwon paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kwon is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Driver had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Driver swings for the body but Kwon moves out of range.

Driver gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Driver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Driver gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kwon gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Driver is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sol Kwon!
A very excited looking Sol Kwon made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
