Almasy comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - South Of Heaven. Seifer Almasy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Victor Ruiz's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Victor Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almasy feints and then cracks Ruiz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ruiz down.

Ruiz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ruiz lands in his opponent's guard.

Ruiz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Almasy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ruiz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Almasy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Almasy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ruiz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ruiz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Almasy is aware though and is defending well.

Almasy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ruiz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Almasy has managed to get both his arms back between Ruiz's legs - danger averted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Almasy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ruiz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Victor Ruiz has been cut.
Ruiz looks for a takedown but Almasy sprawls well.
A quick step to the side and Almasy tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Almasy looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Almasy backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Ruiz's temple! It sends Ruiz violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Almasy celebrates and the doctors try to help Ruiz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Seifer Almasy!
An out of breath Seifer Almasy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
