The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singh rushes Gomes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Singh is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Singh prevents the takedown attempt.
Singh has Gomes pressed against the cage.
Singh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gomes prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gomes wants a takedown but no success here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
You can see the frustration on Gomes's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Singh is riding his opponent, not letting Gomes buck him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Singh is continuing to stall.

Let's hope that Singh has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Singh lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Singh turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Singh manages to end up in side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Gomes's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gomes is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Singh is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Well Singh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
