Reem comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Reputation. Cox has chosen Sometimes as his entrance music. Umberto Reem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Cox!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reem throws a head kick that misses
letting Cox counter with a right hand.
Cox works Reem's body with a nice hook.
Reem on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Reem fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nice defenses there by Cox.
Reem swings widly with a right hand

and Cox counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cox.
Reem swings wildly with an uppercut but Cox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cox scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A nice right hand lands inside from Reem.
Cox misses with a punch to the body.
Reem takes a shot to the head.
Cox lands a left hand that snaps the head of Reem backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reem is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cox is keeping busy.
Cox tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
With the fighters up against the cage, Cox throws an elbow but misses.
A short body shot lands from Reem as the two fighters clinch.
Cox pushes off an throws an elbow but Reem leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Cox trying to control the position but instead, Reem has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cox into the cage.

Cox misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Reem.
Reem tries a body shot but Cox blocks it.
Reem is trying to stall.
Cox throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The referee calls for Reem to work.
Reem softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Reem throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Coxs head.
Reem blocking some punches.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Reem.
Reem keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cox's efforts to push away.
A head punch on the inside from Reem fails to land.

Reem lands a shoulder strike.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Cox can't find room to land a body shot as Reem controls the action.
Cox lands with a left to the head.
Cox misses with a punch to the body.
Nice body punch from Reem - that landed with a thud.
Cox lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cox creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Reem tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cox's elbow.
Reem prevents Cox from breaking the clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Reem - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Reem struggles to land a body shot inside as Cox controls his hands.

Cox is rocked!
Reem dips a shoulder and cracks Cox with a mighty uppercut! Cox falls back against the cage and Reem unloads with a barrage of strikes! Cox is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Reem screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Umberto Reem!
Umberto Reem really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that IniTech Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Ivan Cox was interviewed post fight and said 'I lost guys... But ill be in the sauna in 1 hour if some hot male fans wants to teabag me to a quick recovery.'.
