Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Que Jackman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Nazarro!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nazarro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jackman's half guard.

Jackman manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Nazarro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nazarro looking to control but Jackman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Nazarro stands up from mount. Strange move.

and Nazarro counters with a two punch combo.
Jackman tries to clinch up.

It looks like Que Jackman has been cut.
Jackman is breathing heavily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nazarro.
Jackman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nazarro asserts his dominance and retains side control.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackman enables Nazarro to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jackman has his foot on Nazarro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nazarro works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nazarro gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Nazarro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jackman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jackman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nazarro is looking to control Jackman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nazarro avoid being mounted?

Jackman forces Nazarro back against the cage and clinches.

Nazarro has hold of one of Jackman's legs. Jackman is fighting the takedown attempt but Nazarro gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jackman wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Nazarro is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jackman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Ben Nazarro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Nazarro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jackman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nazarro but great work by Jackman.

Jackman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nazarro manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Que Jackman.
I think Nazarro has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
