Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neil Nucombe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy DeVito!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for DeVito with that takedown attempt.
Nucombe misses with a looping right.
DeVito fails to land the takedown.
Nucombe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
DeVito darts in looking for a takedown but Nucombe gets double underhooks and turns DeVito into the cage.
Neil Nucombe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy DeVito.
DeVito tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nucombe defends well and DeVito ends up having to push Nucombe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Tommy DeVito has been cut.
Nucombe slaps away a takedown attempt from DeVito, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nucombe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nucombe connects with a right hand. DeVito shakes it off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nucombe lands a left and a right that send DeVito crashing to the mat, dazed. Nucombe thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
DeVito is rocked!

and Nucombe scores with a counter punch that sends DeVito to the canvas! Nucombe smells blood - he's punishing DeVito with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! DeVito has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
