PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Bishop (ranked 705 p4p, 70 weight class) and Caio Bottura (ranked 2194 p4p, 224 weight class). Bishop comes to the cage accompanied by Ghetts - Artillery. Bottura is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Face The Pain. Caio Bottura is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caio Bottura!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bottura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bishop throws a poor cross that misses
letting Bottura counter with a right hand.
Bishop looks to land a left hand but Bottura moved out of range nicely.
Bishop is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bottura.
Bottura takes one to the side of the head.
Bishop throws a lazy right hand but Bottura sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bottura follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Bottura gets control of Bishop's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bottura will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Bottura working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bishop doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bishop manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bottura drops back looking for a leg! Bishop is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bishop manages to kick Bottura off! Bottura jumps back into Bishop's guard.

Bottura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bishop gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bottura is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bishop defends well.
Our spies down at at LOD: House of Gladiators inform us that Bottura has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Bishop got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bottura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bishop has managed to get both his arms back between Bottura's legs - danger averted.

A close round but Caio Bottura will probably get the nod.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bishop rolls with it to try and escape but Bottura cranks on the arm and Bishop is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After winning the bout, Caio Bottura thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
