Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cai Mao (ranked 3480 p4p, 372 weight class) and Slim Sylvia (ranked 2020 p4p, 237 weight class). Sylvia has chosen Some Country Shit as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Slim Sylvia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mao misses with a body shot.
Sylvia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mao has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cai Mao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mao lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Slim Sylvia has been cut.
A head kick misses from Mao.
Mao throws a lazy uppercut
and Mao takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sylvia throws a shot from downtown. Mao moves away and avoids it.
Sylvia lunges at Mao with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mao's hand.
Mao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Mao takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mao lands with an uppercut that bounces Sylvia off the cage and back into range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sylvia shoots in looking for a takedown but Mao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sylvia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sylvia fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Mao to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Mao looks to clinch but Sylvia throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Mao taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
