Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kieko Lynn (ranked 1851 p4p, 251 weight class) and Kassius Halo (ranked 2923 p4p, 379 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kieko Lynn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kassius Halo!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Lynn.
Lynn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Halo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lynn backs up against the cage.


It looks like Kieko Lynn has been cut.
Lynn loads up on a big right hand but Halo slips the punch.
Lynn throws a leg kick which misses Halo's front leg but catches the back leg as Halo tries to avoid it.
Lynn throws a looping overhand right but Halo ducks down to avoid it.
Halo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lynn was well out of range. Poor timing from Halo.

Halo lands a nice shot that snaps Lynn's head back.
Kieko Lynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lynn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Halo manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Halo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lynn as he jumps to the side.
Lynn was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Halo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lynn is able to avoid easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lynn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Halo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing that Lynn has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Halo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lynn wants to work for an arm triangle but Halo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Lynn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lynn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Halo moves away.
A jab from Halo does it's job there.
Lynn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Halo dives in for a single leg takedown but Lynn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lynn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Halo can do to turn this around?
