Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wladyslaw Raginis (ranked 1609 p4p, 184 weight class) and Pertti Rauta (ranked 1826 p4p, 215 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raginis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rauta.
Rauta shoots in and drives through. Raginis sprawls well.
Raginis misses with a two punch combination.
Rauta unleashes a big counter combination but Raginis bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Raginis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rauta rushes Raginis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Raginis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rauta can't fight it off and eventually Raginis manages to take the fight to the floor. Rauta looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Raginis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rauta on the side of the head.

Rauta throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Raginis appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Rauta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rauta drives through and clinches with Raginis against the cage.
Rauta is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Raginis to keep the fight standing.
Raginis turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Raginis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rauta sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Raginis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rauta tries to reverse the position but Raginis maintains control.
BOOM! Raginis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Raginis cracks Rauta with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Raginis cracks Rauta with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wladyslaw Raginis!
