Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Cottero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 46 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jax Teller!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Cottero throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cottero walks into a straight right hand from Teller.
Cottero misses the shot to the body.
Teller scores with a leg kick.
Teller fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cottero has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Teller lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Teller bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cottero's head backwards.
Teller darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Teller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cottero pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cottero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cottero.
Cottero swings for the body but Teller moves out of range.
Teller lands a nice looking body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cottero is trying hard to land a takedown here. Teller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Teller has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Teller lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Teller scores with the left hand. Cottero knows he should have avoided that one.
Teller swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cottero throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Teller connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Teller bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cottero's head backwards.
Teller moves out of range of the leg kick from Cottero.
Cottero looks to land a left hand but Teller moved out of range nicely.
Cottero will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Teller digs a good body shot into Cottero's ribs.
Teller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cottero's head.
Cottero wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cottero doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Teller closes the distance and clinches.
Teller has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Cottero tries to work over Teller's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Cottero is pushing Teller up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Teller tries to throw a body punch but Cottero avoids it by throwing Teller back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Teller manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cottero throws a jab when Teller was well out of range.
Teller avoids a kick to the body.
Cottero fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Teller checks it well.
Jax Teller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Teller lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cottero.
Cottero avoids the head kick by Teller.
Teller avoids the body shot from Cottero.
Teller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cottero throws a head kick that misses.

Teller moves into the clinch.
Teller softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Cottero tries a body shot but Teller blocks it.
Cottero lands a shoulder strike.
Cottero tries to work over Teller's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Teller makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Teller takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Teller tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cottero misses with a body punch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Teller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.


Cottero is rocked!
Teller jerks Cottero's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Cottero drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Teller goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Teller because Cottero was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Jax Teller!
During a confident post fight interview, Jax Teller thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
