The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ping closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcpherson to the mat! Mcpherson manages to get full guard.
Ping tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcpherson is retaining full guard.
Ping wants to control from the top but Mcpherson keeps moving.
Ping with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ping pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mcpherson is keeping the position for now.
Ping is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Mcpherson is pulling down on Ping's head to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ping's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ping postures up and lands a big shot to Mcpherson's brow.
Mcpherson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ping controls the pace.
Mcpherson is trying to control the position but Ping postures up.

Ping slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ping is fighting to break Mcpherson's control of his arms but Mcpherson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Ping gets to his feet - Mcpherson follows without any prompting.

Ping drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ping slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ping stands and throws Mcpherson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Ping wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mcpherson, who protects the arm well.
Ping tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mcpherson's legs.
Mcpherson wants to control but Ping postures up.

Ping stands up and beckons Mcpherson to his feet.

Ping pushes Mcpherson up against the cage in a clinch.

Ping gets through Mcpherson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Oh Mcpherson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ping manages to pull guard.
Mcpherson seems to have got his legs back now.
Ping keeping moving, preventing Mcpherson from controlling successfully.
Mcpherson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Ping working for a triangle but Mcpherson defends it easily.
Mcpherson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ping has Mcpherson pulled in close to control his posture.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mcpherson postures up in Ping's guard and throws a big left but Ping blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ping is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mcpherson's half guard.
Mcpherson wants to stand back up but Ping manages to pass into side control.

Ping tries for a kimura but Mcpherson is defending well.
Mcpherson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ping off and has taken his back!

Mcpherson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Ping has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Ping wants to control his opponent's hands but Mcpherson gets his hands free.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ping is looking to control the hands but Mcpherson breaks free and manages to sink in a rear naked choke that ends the fight!
