Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Settakian Fett (ranked 727 p4p, 106 weight class) and Wilhelm Strauss (ranked 503 p4p, 78 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Strauss's choice of entrance music: Root Of All Evil. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilhelm Strauss!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fett works Strauss's body with a nice hook.
Strauss blocks a jab.
Strauss checks a leg kick.
Strauss let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
A slow jab from Strauss misses its intended target.
A telegraphed right hand from Strauss misses the target.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Fett.
Fett lands a slapping body shot.
Fett finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fett looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fett slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strauss uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fett.
Fett scores with a hook to the body. Strauss takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

It looked like Fett was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Strauss.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fett checks a leg kick.
Settakian Fett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strauss throws a leg kick which misses Fett's front leg but catches the back leg as Fett tries to avoid it.
Strauss rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fett lands with a good body shot.
Strauss misses with a series of wild punches.
Strauss avoids the body shot from Fett.
Strauss tries to move into range but Fett moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Fett is looking to wear down Strauss with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Fett throws a wild body kick that Strauss sees coming a mile off.
Strauss is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Strauss moves to clinch but Fett breaks away
and Fett counters with a nice body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fett feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Strausss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fett thumps Strauss with a low kick.
Fett defending well as Strauss loads up on a big left hand.
Fett swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Fett lands a big head kick that sends Strauss tumbling to the mat! Fett takes a step backwards and waves Strauss back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Wilhelm Strauss has been cut.
Fett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Strauss.
Strauss swings away with a body shot that misses

and Fett counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fett.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Strauss misses with a short punch on the inside.

Fett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Strauss tries to clinch but Fett is having none of it.
Fett stuns Strauss with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Strauss on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Strauss throws a poor cross that misses
and Fett counters with a right hand to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Fett.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Strauss crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fett - the referee stops the clock and Strauss gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fett. Strauss manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fett thuds a left hand into Strauss's body.
Strauss looks winded!
Strauss takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Strauss on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nice body kick from Fett.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fett digs a good hook to Strauss's body.

Fett clinches up with Strauss and pushes him back against the cage.
A short right from Fett.
A right hand to the body from Fett.
Fett is struggling to control the position.
Good body shot from Fett.
Fett throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Fett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Strauss misses with a hook
and Fett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fett drops Strauss with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Strauss looks back up at him and smiles so Fett waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Strauss is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fett thuds his shin into the meat of Strauss's side.
Fett scores with a hook to the body. Strauss takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Settakian Fett dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Wilhelm Strauss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fett works Strauss's body with a nice hook.
BOOM! Fett lands a beautiful left hook that drops Strauss. Strauss tries to recover but Fett is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Strauss lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
