Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Alex Diaz (ranked 6776 p4p, 635 weight class) and Azam Zadran (ranked 6943 p4p, 642 weight class). Diaz's entrance music is war machine. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Azam Zadran!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz works Zadran's body with a nice hook.

Diaz gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Diaz breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Zadran with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Zadran looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Zadran get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action!


It looks like Azam Zadran has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zadran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Diaz rushes Zadran and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Diaz misses with a short punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zadran lands a shoulder strike.
Diaz on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Zadran is trying to push Diaz away but Diaz has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Diaz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Diaz misses with a short punch on the inside.
Zadran misses with an elbow over the top.
Diaz throws a punch but it's blocked by Zadran.
Zadran using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Diaz has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Zadran blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz misses with a body punch.
Zadran has had enough of the clinch but Diaz keeps him there for the moment.
Zadran is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Diaz presses Zadran against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Zadran looks winded!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Diaz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zadran backwards.

Diaz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Diaz lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Diaz pushes off an throws an elbow but Zadran leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Diaz creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Zadran crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5, yes, he's made it back to his feet. He seems OK so it looks like we're going to continue!

Diaz has closed the distance and engaged Zadran in a clinch.
Zadran seems to have recovered his senses.
Diaz misses with a hook to the ribs.
A head punch on the inside from Diaz fails to land.
Diaz keeps control of Zadran as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diaz pushes Zadran back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.


That has opened up Azam Zadran's cut even more.
Diaz throws an elbow but it misses.
A nice left hand lands by Diaz.
Diaz tries to throw a body punch but Zadran avoids it by throwing Diaz back against the ropes.

Diaz lands a shoulder strike.
Diaz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Diaz digs a right hand underneath Zadran's ribcage. Zadran let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Diaz breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Zadran with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Zadran looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Zadran get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!
