Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gotch pushes Dickson up against the cage in a clinch.

Gotch pulls guard successfully.
Gotch bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dickson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gotch pushing down on Dickson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Gotch is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Dickson wants to get back to his feet.
Gotch with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
It looks like Gotch might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gotch escapes and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gotch shoots in and gets a takedown into Dickson's guard.

Dickson is looking for a triangle here but Gotch uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Dickson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gotch decides to stand back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gotch looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dickson!

Gotch wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dickson, who protects the arm well.
Dickson tries to improve position but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gotch is working to tighten his grip on Dickson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dickson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gotch is really squeezing tight and eventually Dickson passes out! Gotch breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
