Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Page!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franklin Munster!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Page gets caught flat footed, as Munster shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Munster is looking to pass into half guard but Page pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Page is in guard.

Page engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Munster is trying to keep Page in close.
Page really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Munster pulls Page in close to his closed guard and prevents Page from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Munster wants to stand up but Page is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Page seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Page stops Munster from standing up.
Page is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Munster working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Page has passed into half guard!
Page content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Munster wants to improve his position but Page is controlling well.
Munster wants to control but Page is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Munster pushes Page away with a front kick.
Page on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Munster closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Page did well to prevent Munster getting side control.
Page keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Page is looking to improve his position.

Munster throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Page tries to roll over but Munster keeps him under control.
Munster trying to control the action but Page is working from the bottom.

Munster seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Page wants to get back to full guard.
Munster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Page keeps working.
Page is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Munster shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Munster showed some decent athleticism there.
Page has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Munster is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franklin Munster dominated that round.
That's time! Page's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Page shoots in for a takedown but Munster shows good takedown defense.

Munster looking to score a takedown here. Page is defending well but Munster drives through and ends up in Page's guard.
Munster is looking to work some ground and pound but Page has wrist control.
Munster throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Page works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Munster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Munster advances position into side control!
Page is not content to let Munster control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Page holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Page is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Munster off and has taken his back!
Page is hanging on to Munster's back as he tries to escape.
Franklin Munster has got the better of the ground game so far.
Munster turns into Page and is now in his guard.
Page managing to control the position.
Page keeping moving, preventing Munster from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Page seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Page looking to hit a scissor sweep but Munster is one step ahead there.

Munster gets to his feet. Page looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Munster lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Munster fails with an attempt to clinch.
Page seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Munster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Page's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Munster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Page is keeping the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Page controlling Munster's posture.
Munster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Page bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Munster's guard.


Munster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Munster is breathing heavily.
Page controlling from the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Page working some strikes from top position.
Munster controls Page momentarily but Page frees himself.
Page controlling from the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Munster trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franklin Munster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Page shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Franklin Munster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Page shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Munster pinned against the cage. Munster gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Munster lands a brutal head kick. Page looks out on his feet and Munster throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
