Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Wax (ranked 830 p4p, 84 weight class) and Ely Scrubs (ranked 1018 p4p, 108 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wax avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scrubs moves in looking to clinch but Wax pushes him off.

Scrubs takes the fight into the clinch.
Scrubs scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Wax blocks an uppercut.
Wax misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wax connects with a nasty looking knee right to Scrubs's face.
Wax lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Wax tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Scrubs's elbow.
Wax has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Scrubs has a couple of punches blocked by Wax.

Wax cracks Scrubs with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Scrubs takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wax lands with a kick to the temple. Scrubs shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Scrubs on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Scrubs closes the distance but Wax moves to the side
and Wax counters with a left right combination that sends Scrubs crashing to the mat - Wax wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Scrubs out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie Wax!
Charlie Wax decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
