The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover looks to clinch
and Jarrett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hoover moves into the clinch.
Jarrett wants a takedown but no success here.
Jarrett can't get the takedown.
Jarrett goes for a takedown attempt but Hoover pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Adalberto Hoover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaylen Jarrett.
Hoover tries to clinch but Jarrett moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoover is looking to clinch but Jarrett is avoiding it.

and Jarrett counters with a single leg into guard. Hoover didn't expect that.

Jarrett works over Hoover with some ground and pound from guard.
Hoover throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hoover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jarrett postures up and lands a big shot to Hoover's brow.
Jarrett gets to his feet and stands over Hoover, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hoover felt that one! Jarrett unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hoover from any more punishment!
