The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nice defenses there by Petrov.
Weiss uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Petrov has time to react.

It looks like Eugeniy Petrov has been cut.

Petrov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Weiss was covering up waiting for the punch and Petrov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Petrov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Petrov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Petrov seems to have locked his on tight now - Weiss screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Petrov, as he picks up the win!
