PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Power Shark (ranked 4500 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasper Davenport (ranked 6313 p4p, 0 weight class). Jasper Davenport told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davenport pushes Shark up against the cage in a clinch.
Shark pushes Davenport back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Davenport breaks the clinch.
Shark cracks Davenport with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Jasper Davenport has been cut.
Decent striking displayed by Shark there.
Shark throws a jab but it's blocked by Davenport.
Davenport tries to clinch but Shark moves away
and Shark counters with a nice uppercut.

Davenport is rocked!

Shark cracks Davenport with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Davenport looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shark finish him?
Davenport is still on wobbly legs! Can Shark finish him?
Jasper Davenport seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
and Shark counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Davenport! He's just covering up as Shark starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
