Savage's entrance music is Many Men By 50 cent. A fine choice. Burns has chosen Kickin' it in Tennessee as his entrance music. Bobby Burns acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage avoids a kick to the body.
Jab, jab by Savage - just one landing.
Jab from Burns.

It looks like Tom Savage has been cut.
Burns moves out of range of the strikes.
Savage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Savage.
Burns looks to land a left hand but Savage moved out of range nicely.
Savage slips a jab and a cross from Burns.
Burns misses with a leg kick
and Savage counters with a stiff right hand.
Savage on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Burns throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Savage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Burns tries to land a front kick but Savage steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Burns lands with an overhand left.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Savage blocks a low kick nicely.
It looked like Savage wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Burns thows a left - swing and a miss!
Savage is looking to counter punch.
Savage throws an overhand right that lands on Burns's shoulder, as Burns tries to avoid the shot.
Savage uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burns.
An attempted straight right counter from Savage misses the target.
Burns misses with a lunging right hand
and Savage counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Savage lands with an overhand left.
Savage lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Burns throws a right hand that misses
and Savage counters with a right hand to the body.
A low kick from Burns is predictable there
and Burns takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Savage ducks right into an uppercut from Burns.
Burns misses with a body shot
and Savage counters with a straight right hand.
Burns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Savage is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Savage throws a left and a right that both miss
and Burns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burns throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Savage.
Savage connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Burns momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Savage gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Burns is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
