Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between CM Punk (ranked 6312 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Thomas (ranked 5418 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
David Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Punk throws a right hand that Thomas ducks under and follows up with a left that Thomas also avoids with ease.
Punk wants to clinch but Thomas slips to the side
and Thomas makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Thomas has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Punk is trying to keep an underhook but Thomas manages to get the takedown into half guard.
