The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Koistinen. That's going to slow Brown down.
Koistinen misses with a left hand
and Brown counters with a right hand to the body.
Kristus Koistinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Koistinen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Koistinen.
Koistinen takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.

It looked like Brown wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Brown throws a quick inside leg kick.

and Brown makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Koistinen throws a wild body kick that Brown sees coming a mile off.

Koistinen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brown moves away.
Koistinen misses with a low kick as Brown jumps back.
Brown was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

and Brown counters with a head kick that drops Koistinen to the mat! Koistinen scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Koistinen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brown. Brown circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Koistinen is still on wobbly legs! Can Brown finish him?
A left lands for Brown.
Koistinen throws a solid leg kick but Brown takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Koistinen.
Koistinen tries to work over Brown's front leg with a kick but Brown checks it.
Koistinen seems to have recovered his senses.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brown connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Koistinen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brown dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Koistinen. That did some damage!
Koistinen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
A looping hook to the body misses from Koistinen. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet.
Brown swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Koistinen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Brown swings for the body but Koistinen moves out of range.
Koistinen walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Brown checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Koistinen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Koistinen misses with a low kick as Brown jumps back.
Brown appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Koistinen jabs Brown right on the nose. Brown blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Tyson Brown has been cut.
Brown leaves his chin hanging out and Koistinen seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Brown crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Kristus Koistinen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
