Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Arvo Laar (ranked 3907 p4p, 472 weight class) and Prana Halo (ranked 21948 p4p, 0 weight class). Laar comes to the cage accompanied by some random 90's estonia dance song i found on youtube. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Arvo Laar! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 4 losses; Prana Halo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Laar rushes Halo and presses him up against the cage.

Laar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Halo uses from the top position.
Halo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Laar is not content to let Halo control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Laar is just riding it out for now. Halo eventually gives up the hold.

Laar has his foot on Halo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Halo works his way back into a safe position though.
Halo wants to control from the top but Laar keeps moving.

Halo seems to be working for a kimura but Laar defends the submission attempt.

Halo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Laar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Halo.

Laar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Halo pulls his head out easily.

Laar tries to get to full guard but Halo has control of the leg.

Laar wants to get back to full guard but Halo has mounted him!

Laar has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Laar is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Laar staying busy and making it hard for Halo to control.

Halo is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Laar has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Halo has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Laar taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Halo doesn't care though - he's delighted!
