Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tribbiani Joey (ranked 1950 p4p, 204 weight class) and Kasey Scorpion (ranked 490 p4p, 0 weight class). Scorpion is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jiu Jitsu. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Tribbiani Joey! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Kasey Scorpion!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Scorpion gets a clinch.

Scorpion jumps guard and drags Joey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Joey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scorpion swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Scorpion felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Scorpion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Joey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Scorpion is staying active underneath Joey, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Joey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scorpion swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Scorpion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Joey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Scorpion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Scorpion has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Joey should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Scorpion has tightened it up now! Joey should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
