Aldridge comes to the ring accompanied by Smooth Criminal By Michael Jackson. William Booth has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Booth looks to land a right hand but Aldridge moved out of range.
Aldridge throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Booth's head.

Aldridge throws a sloppy head kick and Booth moves out of range easily.
Aldridge misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Booth scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Booth feints a jab promting Aldridge to slip. Booth then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Aldridge slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It seemed like Booth was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Aldridge uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Booth.
Booth has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Booth throws a looping overhand right but Aldridge ducks down to avoid it.
Aldridge tries to bum rush Booth with a series of wild strikes but Booth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Aldridge thuds his right hand into Booth's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Aldridge throws out a head kick that Booth doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Booth crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Booth's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
