Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lee Tramp (ranked 5336 p4p, 415 weight class) and Kyle Brodie (ranked 24390 p4p, 547 weight class). Brodie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nasty. Kyle Brodie acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brodie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A swing and a miss from Brodie.

Tramp dives in and scores a takedown into Brodie's guard.
Brodie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tramp controls from within his opponent's guard.
Brodie wants to get back to his feet but Tramp is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tramp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brodie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brodie is looking to stand back up but Tramp counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Brodie.
Brodie flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Tramp seems to be looking for submissions.

Brodie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tramp's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tramp is looking for a kimura but Brodie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tramp to get the leverage.
Brodie tries to kick Tramp off but Tramp keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tramp content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Tramp moves nicely into side control.
Brodie is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tramp is controlling him well.
Tramp remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Brodie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tramp has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tramp tries to score with some ground and pound. Brodie controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Brodie throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Tramp misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Brodie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tramp wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Tramp thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brodie is not content to let Tramp control the position.

Tramp is trying to get an arm triangle but Brodie is defending well.
Brodie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tramp has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Tramp tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tramp has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

We've been hearing good reports from Tramp's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Brodie tries to clinch up but Tramp circles away and keeps his distance.

Lee Tramp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as Tramp lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brodie doesn't seem phased though.
Brodie blocks a head kick by Tramp.

Tramp pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brodie back to the cage. Tramp follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Tramp misses with an elbow over the top.
Brodie wants to break free but Tramp has control.
Tramp lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Tramp wants to take the fight to the mat but Brodie manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tramp just misses with a elbow thrown towards Brodie's brow.

Brodie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tramp throws a good cross that connects.
Tramp is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brodie can do to turn this around?
Tramp tests Brodie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Brodie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Brodie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Brodie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Brodie moves into range and clinches up with Tramp.
Brodie throws a punch but it's blocked by Tramp.
Tramp lands a left hand that snaps the head of Brodie backwards.

Brodie is rocked!

Brodie wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Brodie is still on wobbly legs! Can Tramp finish him?
Tramp pushes Brodie against the cage. Tramp is working some dirty boxing. Tramp pushes off with a quick right hook! Brodie goes down! Brodie tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Tramp moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
