The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gosego closes the distance and pushes Baird back into the cage.

Baird drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Baird jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gosego is trying to control the position but Baird postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Baird has his foot on Gosego's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gosego works his way back into a safe position though.

Gosego got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baird has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gosego has managed to get both his arms back between Baird's legs - danger averted.

Gosego manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baird on his heels. He'll look to pass Baird's guard now, I'm sure.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gregory Baird will probably get the nod.
