Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benito Morin (ranked 24329 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Masson (ranked 6093 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Masson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Morin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Masson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Morin to see if he's OK.
Masson controls the position.
Morin really is a fat lump.

Masson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee asks Masson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Masson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Masson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Masson looks up at the clock and then as Morin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Masson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The referee asks Masson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Masson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Morin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Morin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Masson tries a head kick but it misses.
Masson shoots in looking for a takedown. Morin tries to sprawl out of it but Masson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Morin is looking to counter punch.

Masson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Masson connects with a nice short shot to Morin's temple.

Let's hope that Masson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Victor Masson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
