Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Steed (ranked 4080 p4p, 443 weight class) and MIcheal Myers (ranked 5899 p4p, 573 weight class). Myers has chosen Halloween (Michael Myers) Theme Song as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, MIcheal Myers!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Steed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steed swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Steed throws a hook but Myers avoids it easily.
Myers swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Steed throws the left hand but Myers avoids the punch easily.
Steed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Myers moves away.
Myers takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Myers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steed moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Myers cracks Steed with a right hand to the side of the head.
Myers throws a body punch but Steed moves out of range.
Myers slips under a jab from Steed.
It seemed like Myers was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Steed closes the distance and clinches.
A nice left hand lands by Steed.
Myers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

I was talking to Steed's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Myers looks to throw the jab but Steed is out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Steed. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Steed.
Steed throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Myers on the side of the head.
Myers looks to score with a jab to the body but Steed is just out of range.

and Myers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Myers counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Myers wants to get back to striking at distance but Steed won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Steed stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Myers takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Steed uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Myers.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Steed here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Steed's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That's time! Steed's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Steed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Myers manages to avoid it.

Steed makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Myers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Steed has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Steed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Myers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Myers throws out a loose jab but Steed uses good head movement to avoid it.
Myers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Buck Steed showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Steed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
