And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Taylor !
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGriddle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taylor circles away.
McGriddle darts in looking for a takedown but Taylor gets double underhooks and turns McGriddle into the cage.
McGriddle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor 's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGriddle off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sausage McGriddle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taylor lands a nice shot to the body.
McGriddle drops his hands momentarily and Taylor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
McGriddle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taylor as he avoids it easily.
Taylor lands a nice hook to McGriddle's body. McGriddle takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McGriddle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Taylor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McGriddle doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Taylor counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McGriddle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Taylor cracks McGriddle with an elbow. That is naaassty.
My spies in The Shark Tank inform me that Taylor has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
