PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zach Assad (ranked 3678 p4p, 323 weight class) and Hector Ortiz (ranked 4724 p4p, 382 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Zach Assad has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zach Assad seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zach Assad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assad tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ortiz was well out of range. Poor timing from Assad.
Assad misses the jab.
Assad thuds his right hand into Ortiz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A combination from Assad does no damage.
Ortiz doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Assad throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ortiz! But no joy.
Assad throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Ortiz colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Assad as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Ortiz is left battered and dazed whilst Assad and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zach Assad!
