Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cornelius Albatross!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morales keeps the fight on the outside.
Morales throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Albatross stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Albatross tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morales manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Morales tests Albatross's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Cornelius Albatross has been cut.
Albatross keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Morales.
Morales pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Albatross looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Albatross tries to clinch but Morales is having none of it.
Morales is looking to counter punch.
Albatross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Morales throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Albatross staying out of range there.
Morales tests Albatross's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morales cracks Albatross with a big right hand and Albatross goes down!
Albatross is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morales loads up on a big left hand. Albatross felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Morales looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Albatross can't hide his disappointment, as Morales celebrates the victory.
