Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Open the tcheka. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Naikrul Dream!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Dream.
Dream doesn't manage to clinch there - Santos circles away.
A combination from Dream does no damage.
A counter left hand to the body from Santos misses its target.
Dream lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively.
Dream cracks the inside of Santos's front leg.
Dream showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santos.
Dream's coach down at Holding Cell was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dream's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Dream tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice jab there from Dream.
Dream throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Dream lands a leg kick that knocks Santos off balance momentarily.
Dream keeps the fight on the outside.
Dream misses with a head kick.
Dream will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Santos moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dream just misses with a elbow thrown towards Santos's brow.
Santos wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Santos blocks the elbow strike.

Santos breaks the clinch.
Santos moves to clinch but Dream breaks away
and Dream counters with a series of strikes. Santos will be more careful next time no doubt.
Dream tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Santos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Santos avoids the head kick by Dream.
Dream fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Santos has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Good leg kick by Dream there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Santos catches Dream with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Good work by Santos as he checks the leg kick.
Dream pushes Santos away with a front kick.
Santos takes a swing at Dream's ribcage but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dream pushes Santos up against the cage in a clinch.
Dream lands an elbow just above Santos 's eye.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dream lands a left hand.
Dream gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Santos tries to circle away but Dream has him pinned against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Dream.
Dream looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Dream gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Dream lands a left hand that snaps the head of Santos backwards.
Dream lands an elbow just above Santos 's eye.


Santos is rocked!
A nice glancing elbow lands by Dream.
Oh Santos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dream jerks Santos's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Santos drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Dream goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Dream because Santos was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Naikrul Dream!
An out of breath Naikrul Dream thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
