Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Ahearn (ranked 2003 p4p, 242 weight class) and Misak Petrosyan (ranked 3152 p4p, 353 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Misak Petrosyan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahearn misses with a wild body shot.
Petrosyan tries to clinch but Ahearn is having none of it.

Ahearn uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Petrosyan has time to react.

Ahearn appears to be looking for a big counter.
Petrosyan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Petrosyan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Petrosyan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Petrosyan throws a body punch but Ahearn moves out of range.

Petrosyan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Ahearn drops Petrosyan onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Petrosyan is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ahearn dips a shoulder and cracks Petrosyan with a mighty uppercut! Petrosyan falls back against the cage and Ahearn unloads with a barrage of strikes! Petrosyan is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Ahearn screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
