Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robby Oneil (ranked 24917 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monte Gomez (ranked 5616 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Freak (Like Me). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneil avoids the head kick by Gomez.

Gomez closes the distance and clinches.

Oneil has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gomez uses from the top position.

Let's hope that Gomez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Monte Gomez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gomez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Gomez.

Gomez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Oneil moves into the clinch successfully.
Gomez unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Oneil has had enough of the clinch but Gomez keeps him there for the moment.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gomez. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
