Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bato Dela Rosa!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupuis shoots in for a takedown but Dela Rosa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dupuis tries to clinch up.
Dupuis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dupuis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dupuis sets himself, and Dela Rosa steps forward looking for the clinch! Dupuis avoids it this time.
Dela Rosa misses with a head kick.

Dupuis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dela Rosa forces Dupuis back against the cage and clinches.
Dupuis is looking to control Dela Rosa's arms but Dela Rosa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dupuis has his back to the cage.
Dupuis tries a body shot but Dela Rosa blocks it.
Dupuis is pushing Dela Rosa up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dela Rosa blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Dupuis swings wildly with an uppercut but Dela Rosa uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dela Rosa is working for takedown but Dupuis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dela Rosa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dupuis walks away with a smile on his face. Dela Rosa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
David Dupuis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bato Dela Rosa.

Dupuis moves into the clinch.

Dela Rosa lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Dupuis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Dela Rosa prevents Dupuis from standing back up.
Dela Rosa takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Dupuis wants to control but Dela Rosa is keeping busy.
Dupuis tries to get to full guard but Dela Rosa has control of the leg.

Dupuis strikes from the bottom but Dela Rosa uses the opportunity to move to side control.

Dupuis is trying to work for a sweep but Dela Rosa has mounted him!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dupuis is desperately trying to improve his position but Dela Rosa has a good base and remains in mount.
Dupuis is just holding on here. Dela Rosa manages to take his back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

We've been informed that Dela Rosa has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Dela Rosa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dela Rosa has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Dupuis! Can he survive? No! He's out! Dela Rosa gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
