Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mustapha Shiit (ranked 3870 p4p, 369 weight class) and Konner McKregor (ranked 1718 p4p, 179 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Konner McKregor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKregor throws a body shot but no joy.
Shiit appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
McKregor misses with an uppercut. Shiit saw that one coming.
Shiit just misses with a punch to the body.
Decent striking displayed by Shiit there.
Shiit connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McKregor momentarily.
Konner McKregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKregor fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Shiit is out of range.
A big right from McKregor misses.
McKregor swings away with a leg kick that misses.
McKregor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
McKregor misses with a kick to the body.
Shiit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McKregor.
McKregor misses the shot to the body.
McKregor stuns Shiit with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Shiit scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shiit goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McKregor rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Shiit's guard! Nice work there by McKregor!
Shiit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Shiit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McKregor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shiit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McKregor stacks Shiit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McKregor!
Shiit tries to bench press McKregor off him but McKregor keeps the position.
Shiit struggling a bit here.
Shiit is looking for a sweep.
McKregor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shiit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McKregor has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
McKregor scores with a push kick.
Shiit cracks McKregor with a right hand to the side of the head.

McKregor swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Shiit to counter with a crisp jab.
McKregor throws a leg kick which misses Shiit's front leg but catches the back leg as Shiit tries to avoid it.
McKregor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shiit throws out the jab.
McKregor pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shiit is out of range and McKregor settles back down.
Shiit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McKregor lands with a good body shot.
Shiit throws a body shot but no joy.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McKregor.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shiit takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
McKregor is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Shiit rather than just go for the knockout.
McKregor throws a right hand that misses
and McKregor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McKregor fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shiit.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Shiit, right into the meat.
McKregor walks into a straight right hand from Shiit.

McKregor is still on wobbly legs! Can Shiit finish him?
McKregor walks into a left hand.
McKregor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shiit.
Shiit throws a looping overhand right but McKregor ducks down to avoid it.
Shiit is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Shiit circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops McKregor to the canvas! McKregor doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Shiit keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
