Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douche Canoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Angus Maclennan!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maclennan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Canoe.
Maclennan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Canoe at a distance.
Canoe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maclennan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Canoe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Canoe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A little jabbing left from Maclennan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Despite the aggression on Maclennan's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Maclennan tries to close the distance and clinch but Canoe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Canoe counters with a crisp right hand that drops Maclennan! Canoe lets Maclennan back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Canoe counters with a stiff right hand.

Maclennan gets caught napping as Canoe dives in and scores a takedown. Maclennan manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Canoe is working Maclennan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Canoe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Maclennan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Maclennan seems to have recovered his senses.
Canoe scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Canoe gets to his feet and stands over Maclennan, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Maclennan felt that one! Canoe unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Maclennan from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Douche Canoe!
In his post fight interview, Douche Canoe started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
