PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Masson (ranked 5329 p4p, 565 weight class) and Choke Slam (ranked 7087 p4p, 629 weight class). Slam comes into a darkened arena with his song building. MGK ft. Kid Rock - Bad Motherfucker kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slam jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A punch combination from Masson misses.

Masson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slam is trying to control the position but Masson postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slam is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Slam is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Masson is aware though and is defending well.

Choke Slam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Horrible takedown attempt by Masson or perhaps it was just good defense by Slam, which made it look bad.

Slam drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slam jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Choke Slam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Slam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
