PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Frasier (ranked 3850 p4p, 120 weight class) and Andre Houdini (ranked 6799 p4p, 185 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jamal Frasier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andre Houdini!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houdini looks to score with a jab to the body but Frasier is just out of range.
Frasier is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Frasier ducks under a wild hook from Houdini.
Frasier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Houdini sprawls well. Houdini wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frasier gets slowly back to his feet.
Frasier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Houdini swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Frasier definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Houdini seems to be working for a kimura but Frasier defends the submission attempt.

Houdini goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Frasier turns into him and now he's in Houdini's guard.

Houdini looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Frasier has picked Houdini up and slammed him! Houdini can't keep hold of the triangle and Frasier manages to pass to side control!

Houdini is staying active underneath Frasier, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Houdini tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frasier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Houdini somewhat.

Houdini stands up over Frasier, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Houdini. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Frasier was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Houdini changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frasier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jamal Frasier.
I think Houdini has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
